About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Development Manager with 5–10 years of proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry. This individual will play a critical role in identifying, developing, and launching new pharmaceutical products and brands to expand our company’s portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in product lifecycle management, contract manufacturing negotiations, and market-driven product innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Identification & Strategy

• Research market trends, therapeutic gaps, and competitive products to identify high-potential opportunities.

• Evaluate and recommend new product ideas, formulations, and categories that align with the company’s growth strategy.

• Product Development Execution

• Lead end-to-end product development from concept to launch.

• Source and evaluate contract manufacturers (local & international) to ensure compliance with GMP and quality standards.

• Coordinate with R&D teams and suppliers to finalize formulations, packaging, and product specifications.

• Supplier & Contract Manufacturer Management

• Negotiate with contract manufacturers on cost, timelines, quality, and supply agreements.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party manufacturing partners.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory and quality requirements in all supplier partnerships.

• Regulatory & Compliance

• Work closely with Regulatory Affairs to ensure all products meet DRAP and international compliance standards.

• Prepare and review product dossiers for regulatory submissions.

• Commercialization & Launch

• Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Sales, QA/QC, and Supply Chain) for smooth product launches.

• Monitor product performance post-launch and recommend improvements.

• Support creation of product branding, packaging design, and launch materials.

• Cross-Functional Leadership

• Serve as the bridge between external contract manufacturers and internal stakeholders.

• Provide technical and commercial insights to guide decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field (MBA preferred).

• 5–10 years of progressive experience in product development, BD, or portfolio management within the pharmaceutical industry.

• Proven track record of launching new products and managing external manufacturing partners.

• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, compliance, and quality standards.

• Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and project management skills.

• Market insight with the ability to identify gaps and translate them into commercially viable products.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across functions and with external partners.
