Description:

We are looking for a Product Owner to lead the Client Onboarding domain, responsible for the full client registration and verification funnel — from initial sign-up to verified account activation.

This role combines a data-driven product mindset with a strong compliance foundation. You will own the roadmap for client onboarding, KYC/AML integrations, and risk categorization logic, ensuring our onboarding process is frictionless yet fully compliant across multiple jurisdictions.

You’ll collaborate closely with compliance, business, legal, tech, design and marketing to

deliver a smooth and regulatory-ready onboarding experience that supports both retail and institutional clients.

Main tasks and responsibilities

● Own the end-to-end onboarding experience, including registration, verification, and

risk categorization.

● Define and maintain the product roadmap for registration, KYC, AML, and client

classification systems.

● Collaborate with compliance officers to translate regulatory onboarding requirements

into product features and workflows.

● Manage third-party verification provider integrations (KYC, KYB, AML, sanctions

screening).

● Optimize onboarding funnels for conversion, speed, and accuracy, ensuring alignment

with regional regulations.

● Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation for onboarding and

verification logic.

● Partner with tech leads to ensure seamless integration between front-end onboarding

and back-office systems.

● Work with data analytics to monitor verification times, rejection rates, and user

drop-offs.

● Maintain compliance alignment across EU, MENA, and offshore jurisdictions as the

business expands.

● Collaborate with funding and client-portal product owners to ensure a consistent

post-onboarding experience.

Education and Experience

● 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager in fintech, banking,

or compliance-driven environments.

● Solid understanding of KYC/AML processes, risk scoring, and client categorization

frameworks.

● Proven experience with regulatory onboarding systems and third-party verification

integrations (e.g., Sumsub, Veriff).

● Strong knowledge of compliance regulations across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., EU,

MENA).

● Ability to translate legal/compliance requirements into clear product specifications.

● Excellent stakeholder management, especially with compliance and legal teams.

● Familiarity with agile methodologies, backlog management, and tools like Jira, ClickUp,

and Figma.

● Analytical mindset and ability to interpret conversion and verification data.

Nice to Have

● Experience working in regulated brokerages, crypto exchanges, or neobanks.

● Understanding of risk engine design, client categorization automation, or document

recognition technologies.

● Exposure to multi-entity / multi-jurisdiction onboarding frameworks.

● Knowledge of account lifecycle management, pre-verification procedures
