Product & Packaging Designer (Freelance – F&B / Premium Packaging)

*Job Description

YABA by Chef Shaheen is looking for a freelance Product & Packaging Designer to support upcoming premium food delivery and retail packaging projects.

This role focuses on functional, premium, food-safe packaging design, not graphic-only work.

*Responsibilities

Design food packaging systems (boxes, containers, inserts)

Develop structural packaging concepts (shape, size, usability)

Select and specify materials suitable for food & heat retention

Consider delivery, stacking, and customer usability

Prepare dielines and technical specs for production

Coordinate with procurement to source physical samples

Support testing and iteration based on real food use

*Requirements

Proven experience in product or packaging design

Experience with F&B or consumer packaging

Strong understanding of materials, structure, and usability

Ability to design for premium positioning

Experience working with suppliers and manufacturers

Portfolio required (physical or structural work preferred)

*Nice to Have

Experience with food delivery packaging

Knowledge of thermal packaging or insulation

Experience in the GCC market
