Role Purpose

Own and grow a defined portfolio of food products across manufacturing and retail channels, ensuring the right assortment, compliant packaging and labelling, competitive pricing, and strong in‑market performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full product lifecycle for assigned SKUs (from concept/onboarding through launch, review, renovation and delisting).
  • Drive new product development and listings in coordination with Marketing, Sales, Procurement, QA, Regulatory and Operations.
  • Lead product registration, labelling and packaging coordination with relevant authorities and internal teams (e.g., MOPH standards, GSO requirements, Arabic/English artwork, nutrition panel, claims, shelf‑life).
  • Coordinate pricing and promotions, including preparation of documentation for price approvals with the relevant ministry or regulatory bodies where required.
  • Maintain accurate product information (PIM/ERP), including specifications, pack sizes, barcodes, allergens, nutrition, carton details and images.
  • Monitor category and SKU performance (sales, margin, distribution, waste, promo ROI) and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support menu and merchandising initiatives: ensure products are correctly positioned in planograms, menus, digital platforms and marketing materials.
  • Conduct regular market and competitor reviews on assortment, pricing, packaging and communication to feed into portfolio and pricing strategy.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 4–8 years of experience in FMCG food or food retail/manufacturing in roles such as Product Manager, Category Manager, Brand Manager, or Product Specialist.
  • Proven experience managing a food product portfolio (not only sales or procurement), including launches and lifecycle management.
  • Practical exposure to food regulatory processes in Qatar/GCC (e.g., MOPH/MOH, MOCI/price approvals, GSO labelling standards) or close collaboration with Regulatory/QA on these topics.
  • Strong commercial acumen: able to interpret P&L, pricing structures, promo mechanics and category performance reports.
  • Comfortable working cross‑functionally and managing stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Procurement, QA, Regulatory, Operations and Agencies.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Advanced Excel/PowerPoint; experience with ERP/PIM or master‑data systems is a plus.
