Production & Quality Assurance Manager – Water Bottling Plant

Location: Japan Road, Islamabad

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Production & Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the daily operations of our drinking water bottling plant. The ideal candidate will ensure that production runs efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with national and international quality standards. This role combines leadership in both production management and quality assurance to maintain consistency, hygiene, and product excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all stages of the water bottling process — from raw water treatment to final packaging.
• Monitor daily production targets and optimize line efficiency.
• Manage and train production staff to ensure adherence to operational standards.
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and plant utilities.
• Maintain production reports, batch records, and equipment logs.

Quality Assurance & Control

• Oversee implementation of ISO, PSQCA, and WHO water quality standards.
• Conduct routine testing of raw water, RO-treated water, and finished products.
• Maintain records of physical, chemical, and microbiological test results.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols (HACCP).
• Investigate and address quality deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformities.

Compliance & Documentation

• Liaise with relevant government and certification authorities for inspections and renewals.
• Maintain updated SOPs, calibration records, and quality manuals.
• Enforce safety regulations and promote a clean, organized production environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in a water bottling, beverage, or FMCG production environment.
• Sound knowledge of RO systems, PET bottling lines, batch coding, and labeling equipment.
• Familiarity with QA standards (ISO 22000, HACCP, PSQCA) and internal audit procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
