Assistant Quality Assurance Manager – Water Bottling Plant

Location: Japan Road, Islamabad

Job Summary

We are looking for an Assistant Quality Assurance Manager to support and strengthen our QA department in maintaining the highest standards of water quality, hygiene, and production compliance. The role involves hands-on supervision of laboratory testing, documentation, and process audits to ensure that every bottle leaving our plant meets regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Control

• Conduct routine testing of raw, treated, and bottled water (physical, chemical, and microbiological).
• Assist in monitoring daily production line hygiene, sanitation, and product sampling.
• Verify batch records, labeling accuracy, and packaging integrity.
• Support implementation of HACCP, ISO 22000, and PSQCA standards.
• Report and help investigate any deviations or non-conformities in quality parameters.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of lab instruments and testing kits.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate QA logs, inspection reports, and test result records.
• Support internal and external audits by regulatory and certification bodies.
• Prepare QA summaries and assist in compiling data for management review.
• Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensure compliance with all local health and safety laws.

Process Improvement

• Recommend practical improvements to enhance product consistency and plant hygiene.
• Work with the Production team to prevent contamination, reduce wastage, and maintain process control.
• Participate in staff training related to food safety and quality protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in QA/QC roles within water bottling, beverage, or food industries.
• Hands-on experience in RO water testing, microbiological analysis, and lab documentation.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, HACCP systems, and PSQCA regulations.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational and reporting skills.
• Ability to work in shifts and support production schedules when required.
