Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Production Controller – Inward Operations to manage and streamline the inbound movement of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and components into our production unit. The ideal candidate will ensure timely inwarding, accurate documentation, stock reconciliation, and coordination with procurement, stores, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities:Inward Material Coordination:
- Monitor daily receipt of raw materials, packaging items, and components from vendors.
- Verify material received against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Ensure proper tagging, documentation, and system entry (ERP/Tally/SAP) of inward materials.
- Coordinate with the procurement team for delivery schedules and delays.
Inventory & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate inward records and update stock registers.
- Conduct daily/weekly reconciliation of inward stock vs. GRN (Goods Receipt Notes).
- Collaborate with stores and warehouse teams for space allocation and FIFO implementation.
Quality & Compliance:
- Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) for timely inspection and clearance of incoming materials.
- Flag and isolate non-conforming materials and follow up on returns/replacements.
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards during unloading and handling.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on material inward status, shortages, and delays.
- Highlight critical material gaps impacting production schedules.
- Contribute to inventory audits and monthly closing activities.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical, Production, or related discipline; additional certification in logistics/inventory management is a plus.
- Experience: 3–6 years in inward logistics, production control, or store operations in a manufacturing or assembly setup.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Tally / Oracle) and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of inventory control techniques and production planning processes.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong coordination and communication abilities.
- Attention to detail, with a structured and process-driven approach.
- Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple priorities.
