Production Electrical Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Production Electrical Engineer to lead and oversee the manufacturing and production of ezBike electric motorcycles. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality, efficient, and scalable production.

This is not a desk job we need someone who is comfortable on the factory floor, working directly with technicians, solving real-time issues, and building systems that ensure consistency and quality at scale.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Oversight

• Supervise day-to-day manufacturing of electric bikes
• Ensure production targets are met without compromising quality
• Troubleshoot electrical and system-level issues during manufacturing

Quality Control & Assurance

• Develop and implement QC/QA processes for all electrical components and assemblies
• Establish testing protocols for batteries, controllers, wiring harnesses, and final bikes
• Identify defects, root causes, and implement corrective actions

Process Development & Optimization

• Design and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production
• Reduce errors, rework, and inefficiencies on the production line
• Introduce checklists, testing stations, and validation steps

Team Leadership

• Lead and manage technicians and blue-collar workers on the production floor
• Train staff on manufacturing techniques, safety, and quality standards
• Enforce discipline, accountability, and performance standards

Inventory & Component Management

• Ensure proper handling and usage of electrical components
• Work with procurement to flag faulty or inconsistent parts
• Maintain traceability of critical components (especially batteries)

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce electrical safety standards across production
• Ensure safe handling of lithium batteries

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing / production / assembly environments
• Strong understanding of DC systems, batteries, BMS, and motor controllers, wiring, connectors, and electrical fault diagnosis
• Proven ability to manage blue-collar teams
• Hands-on mindset. Comfortable working on tools, not just supervising
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience with EVs, motorcycles, or automotive systems
• Experience setting up production lines or SOPs from scratch
• Familiarity with battery swapping systems
• Experience with testing equipment
