Mechanical Engineer – Production (PODs / Modular Construction)

Job Summary:

Experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in PODs modular / off-site construction production. Skilled in coordinating MEP works, production planning, quality control, and factory-based assembly processes to ensure timely project delivery and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee mechanical production activities within POD manufacturing facility
• Coordinate with MEP, design, and planning teams
• Monitor installation of HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems
• Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
• Prepare production schedules and progress reports
• Conduct inspections and resolve technical issues

• QA/QC knowledge
• AutoCAD / Revit knowledge preferred
• Strong problem-solving & teamwork skills

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5–10 years of experience in modular construction, prefab manufacturing, or MEP production
• Hands-on experience in POD manufacturing (Bathroom / Kitchen PODs preferred)
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems
• Experience in factory-based production and assembly processes
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, IFC drawings, and MEP layouts
• Good understanding of unit-based costing and material estimation
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and inspection standards
• Experience using ERP systems for production tracking and material control
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of AutoCAD (Revit preferred)
• Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in GCC/UAE modular projects is an advantage
