Develop, implement and manage production plans, schedules & workflows to meet customer orders and internal targets.
Monitor production performance (output, yield, rejects, downtime) and take corrective actions where required.
Lead, coach and manage production team: supervisors, line-operators, shift leads. Set goals, review performance, train staff.
Ensure raw materials, consumables, tooling and equipment are available & maintained so production runs smoothly. Coordinate with procurement, stores & maintenance.
Implement & enforce manufacturing standards, SOPs, work instructions, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance (including automotive standards like IATF / ISO).
Drive continuous improvement: lean manufacturing, waste reduction, productivity improvement, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement, first-pass yield improvement.
Manage cost controls: labour cost, machine utilisation, energy, scrap/spoilage. Develop budget & monitor variances.
with quality, engineering, maintenance, supply-chain and other functions for product launches (NPI – New Product Introduction), process changes, tooling changes and production ramp-up.
Maintain production records, KPIs, MIS reports for senior management: production volume, efficiency, rejects, downtime, manpower utilisation.
Ensure safety, environmental & housekeeping standards are met on the shop floor (5S, TPM, visuals) and ensure workforce compliance.
Handle shift planning, manpower allocation, labour relations (if applicable), and ensure smooth transition between shifts/production lines.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or equivalent (Diploma may be considered if substantial experience).
Experience: Typically 8-12 years of manufacturing/production experience in the auto or auto-ancillary industry, with minimum 3-5 years in supervisory/managerial role.
Proven track record in a manufacturing environment (especially auto components) with exposure to production planning, quality systems, process improvement.
Knowledge of automotive manufacturing environment, standards (IATF 16949, PPAP, etc) desirable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per month
