Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
- Oversee daily production activities across assembly, machining coordination, and testing
- Plan and schedule production to meet delivery timelines
- Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and improve efficiency
- Ensure proper use of materials, tools, and equipment
Team Leadership
- Manage and support production staff (assembly, technicians, etc.)
- Assist with hiring, training, and performance management
- Foster accountability, organization, and a strong work culture
Quality Control
- Ensure products meet company and customer quality standards
- Implement and maintain quality control processes
- Work closely with engineering on product issues and improvements
Process Improvement
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Improve production systems, documentation, and workflows
- Drive continuous improvement in efficiency and cost control
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams
- Coordinate with purchasing, inventory, and shipping
- Communicate production status to leadership
Qualifications
Required:- 3–7+ years of experience in manufacturing or production leadership
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing small teams (3–10 people)
- Ability to read technical drawings and work with engineering teams
- Hands-on mindset—willing to be on the floor, not just behind a desk
Preferred:- Experience in electronics, mechanical assembly, or marine/industrial equipment
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or process improvement methods
- Experience with ERP/inventory systems (QuickBooks Manufacturing a plus)
- Background in machining or technical assembly environments
