Based in our Farmington, New Hampshire manufacturing facility, the Production Supervisor will lead a team of approximately 20 production professionals across CNC machining, welding, and metal finishing operations. This role is critical to achieving production goals, maintaining exceptional quality standards, and supporting the continued growth of Thompson/Center Arms.

What You'll Do

Lead & Develop the Team

  • Provide daily leadership, coaching, training, and accountability for a team of approximately 20 production associates.
  • Foster a culture built on safety, teamwork, craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and personal ownership.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, performance reviews, and employee development initiatives.
  • Serve as a visible leader on the production floor, supporting employees and removing obstacles to success.

Drive Production Excellence

  • Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Monitor workflow, staffing levels, machine utilization, and production output to maximize efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks to improve throughput and on-time delivery performance.
  • Track and report key manufacturing metrics including productivity, scrap, rework, downtime, and schedule attainment.

Partner Across the Organization

  • Work closely with Supply Chain to support production planning, material availability, and schedule execution.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on new product launches, process improvements, and manufacturability initiatives.
  • Partner with Quality to investigate issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain rigorous product standards.
  • Support the successful transition of new products from development into production.

Champion Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and ATF regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, traceability, and security procedures required in firearms manufacturing.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and operational excellence throughout the facility.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Proven success leading teams in CNC machining, metal fabrication, machining, or other precision manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and shop floor operations.
  • Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and develop employees in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in firearms, defense, aerospace, automotive, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement training/certification.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with ATF compliance, serialization, traceability, and regulated manufacturing environments.
