Production Manager

The Production Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising pharmaceutical manufacturing operations to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory requirements, and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, FDA, DRAP, WHO, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise production staff and allocate manpower effectively.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Warehouse, Engineering, and Supply Chain departments.
  • Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining product quality.
  • Monitor production efficiency, yield, downtime, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Investigate production deviations, non-conformities, and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
  • Ensure proper documentation, including Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Batch Packaging Records (BPR).
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage inventory of raw materials and packaging materials to avoid production delays.
  • Ensure workplace safety and compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies.
  • Conduct training and performance evaluations for production personnel.
  • Prepare production reports and present to senior management

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in GMP or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing are an advantage.

Experience:

  • 15 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
  • At least 6 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience in tablet, capsule, liquid, injectable, or sterile manufacturing is preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, GDP, and pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Leadership and team management.
  • Production planning and scheduling.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation.
  • Knowledge of validation, documentation, and audits.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office)
  • Time management and organizational skills.
