Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the plastics industry to join our team in Lahore. The successful candidate will have at least 4-5 years of hands-on experience working with PET Preform & PET Blow Molding production processes. This role focuses on the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of dies and moulds, along with supervising high-volume manufacturing operations. The engineer will ensure product quality and operational efficiency while strictly following safety standards and lean manufacturing principles. This is an on-site position requiring active involvement in daily production activities.

Key Responsibilities
PET Injection & Blow Molding Operations

Managing Production of Injection Molding & Blow Molding Operation

Ensure the Quality as per Client requirement

Ensure the maximum utilization of Machines to meet Production Schedule

Reduction in process rejection

Optimum utilization of Man-Hours

Execution of 5s on production floor

Streamline the workflow regarding material

Coordination with PPC department and Procurement team to reduce Machine downtime

Supervise and lead the production and maintenance team for PET preform and bottle

Production Line Optimization

Equipment Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

Team Leadership & Shift Management

Shop Floor Planning & Control

Quality Assurance & Process Improvement

ERP Systems: MS Excel

Monitor and manage daily operations of injection molding and blow molding machines.

Perform routine and emergency maintenance on PET Injection Molding & Blow Molding machinery.

Reduce downtime through proactive diagnosis and resolution of mechanical and electrical

issues.

Plan and implement production schedules aligned with seasonal and client-specific demands.

Improve line efficiency through continuous process evaluation and employee training.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and ISO production standards.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in the plastics industry with a strong understanding of plastic materials and their applications.
- Proven expertise in designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting dies and moulds.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, preventive maintenance strategies, and industrial safety protocols.
