Job Description:
Are you an operations leader who thrives in high-stakes, independent environments? SalConsult is looking for a dedicated Production Superintendent to lead the 2nd Shift (4:00 PM – 2:00 AM) for a premier food processing facility in Ponca City, OK.
We need a "Night General"—someone with a steady hand, an "Inspector mindset," and deep USDA expertise, capable of managing 4 Production Supervisors and ensuring the floor maintains a minimum 93% efficiency rating.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Direct 2nd-shift production activities to meet delivery schedules and quality standards at the lowest cost.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure a 100% safe work environment. Maintain strict compliance with USDA regulations, food safety standards (HACCP/SQF), and safety audits.
- Team Development: Select, train, and mentor Production Supervisors. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and open communication.
- Process Optimization: Monitor shift production reports daily, manage manpower, and coordinate with Maintenance to minimize downtime and waste.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in budget preparation, capital expenditure recommendations, and manpower forecasting.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a leadership/managerial role within a manufacturing setting (Highly preferred: Meat/Protein or Food industry).
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Meat Science, or a related field (Preferred).
- Technical Knowledge: Proven experience with USDA regulations and food safety compliance.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work the 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends as needed).
