Role Overview

Gilani Mobility is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our fabrication and assembly workshop. The successful candidate will supervise technicians, monitor shop-floor materials and tools, coordinate purchasing of consumables, and ensure production targets are met efficiently and safely.

This role serves as a key coordination point between Production, Procurement, Maintenance, Design, and Management to maintain smooth workflow, minimize downtime, and uphold quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Supervision

• Plan and allocate daily tasks to welders, fabricators, and assembly staff
• Monitor workflow and ensure production schedules are achieved
• Identify and resolve delays or operational inefficiencies
• Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and internal standards
• Prepare daily production and manpower reports

Quality & Compliance

• Inspect finished work for accuracy and quality
• Coordinate with Quality Control to address non-conformities
• Ensure adherence to internal procedures and safety standards
• Support on-the-job training and safety briefings

Stock & Materials Monitoring

• Monitor workshop materials, tools, consumables, gases, and PPE
• Maintain accurate records of stock usage and levels
• Prevent shortages by aligning stock with production schedules
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel for issuing and receiving materials

Purchasing & Coordination

• Prepare purchase requests for consumables and selected materials
• Coordinate with approved suppliers to ensure timely delivery
• Verify materials upon receipt and maintain proper documentation

Maintenance & Safety

• Report equipment issues and coordinate preventive maintenance
• Enforce workplace safety policies and PPE compliance
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment

Communication & Reporting

• Serve as communication link between workshop staff and management
• Escalate operational concerns promptly
• Participate in production meetings and provide updates

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (preferred)
• 4–6 years of experience in fabrication, welding, or workshop operations
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal processes and welding methods
• Previous supervisory experience in a production environment
• Familiarity with quality management and workplace safety practices
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage workflow and multiple priorities
