Location: Based out of Shavano Park Area, Service area covers up to 10–20 Mile Radius

About Us:
At Paw Time Favorite Pet Sitting & Dog Walking, we pride ourselves on delivering award-winning pet care services with a high standard of quality. We are based in the Shavano Park area and proudly serve a 10–20 mile surrounding radius. Our team is passionate about providing outstanding care for pets, ensuring peace of mind for their owners. We offer on going training to our team members to support them with resources. We do in client home services ONLY, traveling from clients homes to perform the pets' routine duties. We are NOT a boarding faciltiy or doggy daycare. (We have serviced more than just cats and dogs, such as rabbits, hamsters, chickens, reptiles, fish, and birds.)

Our Work Environment Includes:

  • Being outdoors on dog walks
  • Caring for pets in clients' homes
  • Occasionally assisting at vendor events
  • Almost overnight visits (evening and early morning visits, no sleeping in client homes)

Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable, flexible, and passionate Pet Sitter / Dog Walker to join our team. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who love animals, enjoy spending time outdoors, and want to make a meaningful impact on the lives of pets and their owners.

Duties Include:

  • Walking dogs of all sizes, ensuring exercise and mental stimulation
  • Providing basic obedience reinforcement during walks
  • Ensuring the safety of pets at all times (using appropriate leashes and harnesses)
  • Cleaning up after dogs and disposing of waste properly
  • Monitoring the health and behavior of pets, reporting concerns to supervisors or clients
  • Following specific instructions for feeding, medication, or special needs
  • Keeping accurate records of walks and pet care activities
  • Communicating with team and management in a timely manner

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous professional experience with animals (pet care, veterinary, shelter work, etc.)
  • Knowledge of safe animal restraint and handling techniques
  • Familiarity with basic dog training principles
  • Ability to confidently and patiently work with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
  • Strong communication skills for updating clients and the team
  • Basic understanding of pet care practices, including feeding and administering medications
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Have YOU OWN reliable and insured transportation with driver's licenses and car insurance.
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Willing to learn
  • Must Be able to commit at least 8 months- 1 year working with us.

Additional Information:

  • This is supplemental income; no set schedule or guaranteed hours — flexibility is key.
  • We are looking for someone who is communicative, reliable, and open about their availability.
  • We are currently requiring weekend avability. OR steady weekday availability for M-F 7am to at least 3:30 pm.
