WiseDog Pet Care partners with experienced, dependable pet professionals to provide personalized in-home pet care throughout north Clermont, Minneola, Montverde, and Groveland.

We are building a small, dependable care team—not a rotating roster. This role is best suited for individuals seeking ongoing work and long-term alignment.

Service Area Requirement:

• Applicants must currently live within our primary service area: Clermont (34711), Minneola (34714), Montverde (34736), or Groveland (34756).
• Applications from outside this immediate area—including those planning to relocate or commute—will not be reviewed.

About the Role

• Part-time independent contractor position
• Weekly pay + tips
• Work volume may vary week to week; however, reliability and follow-through on accepted assignments are essential.
• Ongoing support and structure from an established professional pet care team

What You’ll Do

• Provide thoughtful, individualized care for primarily dogs and cats, including walks, feedings, medications, enrichment, and companionship
• Travel locally between client homes (typically within a 5–15 mile radius) in an efficient and reliable manner
• Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, and storms
• Observe pet behavior closely and respond calmly, confidently, and appropriately to changing situations
• Communicate clearly and professionally by sending detailed updates to clients after every visit
• Support basic home care tasks related to each visit

Availability Requirements:

WiseDog Pet Care provides several types of in-home services. We are currently seeking caregivers who are available for one or more of the following:

Extended Stay Care (Highest Demand)

• Overnight stays (7pm–7am)
• Extended Companion Care (5-hrs. of uninterrupted care)

Vacation Visits

• Morning (6 am - 10 am), Midday (11 am - 3 pm), Late Afternoon (3:30 pm - 6:30 pm), Evening (7 pm - 9 pm)

Workweek Visits

• Midday visits (11 am - 3 pm)

This Role Is NOT a Fit For:

• Individuals looking for a full-time, employee-based position with consistent hours
• Those with limited or unpredictable availability
• Anyone seeking daytime-only hours
• Individuals who prefer to avoid evenings, weekends, holidays, or poor weather
• Individuals who don't like getting dirty or are grossed out easily
• Those looking for an "easy side gig" or exploring pet sitting to “see if it’s a good fit”

Who THRIVES in This Role:

• Has prior professional pet care experience and feels comfortable handling all sizes and temperaments of dogs and cats. (pet sitting, vet clinic, boarding, grooming, training (force-free), rescue work, etc.)
• Lives within our service area (non-negotiable)
• Takes personal responsibility and consistently follows through on commitments
• Doesn't just love pets, but also takes pride in doing what needs to be done (some fun, some not-so-fun) to ensure their well-being.
• Communicates clearly and proactively—even when situations are challenging
• Works independently while following structured care plans and professional standards
• Has reliable personal transportation and is fully comfortable driving at night, in traffic, and in adverse weather
• Has a reliable smartphone capable of managing scheduling and client communication
