Gardere Community Christian School is seeking an energetic, highly organized Programs, Volunteer, and Marketing Coordinator to join our team in a part-time capacity. This role plays a vital part in building and sustaining positive engagement between the school, families, and the broader community, while also supporting the school’s marketing and communications efforts. The ideal candidate is a people person who enjoys coordinating events, managing systems, promoting a mission-driven brand, and fostering meaningful relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Programs & Events Coordination
- Plan and oversee school-wide programs and events, including:
- After-school enrichment programs
- Parent engagement programs (e.g., monthly Saturday sessions)
- Community outreach events
- School-wide initiatives and drives (e.g., coat drives, reading nights)
- Coordinate with staff, external partners, and vendors to ensure successful events.
- Manage communications, logistics, and materials needed for programs.
Volunteer Engagement
- Oversee parent and community volunteer involvement on campus.
- Write and distribute a monthly volunteer email with updates and opportunities.
- Maintain a calendar of regular volunteer opportunities and events.
- Welcome and support volunteers on site, nurturing positive and inclusive relationships.
- Track and report volunteer hours and engagement.
Marketing & Communications
- Support the Principal and Development Director in executing marketing tasks for enrollment and fundraising aligned with the school’s mission.
- Coordinate marketing materials and campaigns across print and digital platforms.
- Manage and create content for social media, website (Squarespace), newsletter, and email accounts.
- Track and report key performance metrics (KPIs) for social media and website.
- Maintain organized storage of digital media and marketing files.
- Assist with photography, content creation, design, and vendor coordination for public-facing materials and school signage.
Administrative Support
- Provide daily assistance at the front desk for one hour, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and supporting administrative needs.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; enjoys working with people
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Strong writing, editing, and basic graphic design skills preferred
- Experience in social media management and digital marketing platforms
- Familiarity with Squarespace, Canva, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar), and Gmail
- Passion for serving students, families, and the broader community
- Comfortable taking initiative and adapting in a dynamic school environment
- Warm, mission-aligned, and collaborative personality
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
