Job Summary:

The Project Control Engineer (Office Based) is responsible for providing planning, scheduling, cost control, and progress monitoring support to ensure successful delivery of projects. This role works closely with the project management team to track and report project performance and ensure that projects are executed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:1. Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Establish and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and ensure consistency with project scope and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather project status and input into the schedule.

2. Cost Control & Budgeting

  • Prepare project budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor and track project expenditures and commitments.
  • Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in change management and cost impact assessments.

3. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track project performance against baseline schedules and budgets.
  • Generate periodic reports (daily, weekly, monthly) for management and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project KPIs such as earned value, schedule performance index (SPI), and cost performance index (CPI).

4. Risk & Change Management

  • Assist in identifying project risks and maintaining the project risk register.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of change orders.

5. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain comprehensive project control records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, standards, and contract requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Experience:

  • 5–8+ years of experience in project control, planning, or cost engineering roles.
  • Experience in office-based project control (not site-based) preferred.
  • Industry experience in [e.g., oil & gas, infrastructure, construction, etc.]

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, and other project control tools.
  • Familiarity with project control methodologies such as earned value management (EVM).
  • Understanding of project lifecycles, procurement processes, and contract management.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.

Preferred Certifications (optional):

  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • CCP (Certified Cost Professional)
  • PMI-SP (PMI Scheduling Professional)
  • AACE Certification

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based role with occasional visits to project sites or client offices if required.
  • Standard working hours, with flexibility based on project demands.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs200,000.00 - Rs300,000.00 per month
