Project Control Manager


We are seeking a highly skilled Project Control Manager to lead and oversee the planning, scheduling, cost control, and reporting functions for large-scale Oil & Gas EPC projects. This role is critical to ensuring project delivery within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with contractual and quality standards.

Your Role


As a Project Control Manager , you will:


Oversee project planning, scheduling, cost control, and progress monitoring to ensure the timely and cost-effective execution of projects. This role plays a critical part in tracking project performance, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions. Reporting to the Divisional Project Manager or Divisional Commercial Manager, the Project Control Manager works closely with project teams to ensure projects stay within scope, on time, and within budget.


  • Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules, including critical path analysis, resource loading, and timeline projections.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure schedules align with project milestones, goals, and client expectations.
  • Identify scheduling constraints and implement solutions to mitigate project delays.
  • Develop, monitor, and update project budgets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project scope.
  • Track project expenditures and assess budget variances, identifying potential cost overruns.
  • Provide detailed cost analysis reports to assist in budget forecasting and cost control.
  • Track project progress against the schedule and budget, analyzing performance indicators.
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly progress reports, highlighting any schedule or budget deviations.
  • Collaborate with project managers to implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Identify potential risks impacting project costs, timelines, or scope and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project change orders, ensuring changes are documented and their impact on cost and schedule is analyzed.
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, and commercial teams to assess contract amendments and their implications.
  • Ensure all project control processes meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits of project documentation, schedules, and cost controls to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to project control standards.


What We’re Looking For


Experience

Minimum of 20 years of experience in extensive experience in oil and gas, civil, or power sectors, managing large-scale projects.

Proven track record in managing complex project controls for large, multi-disciplinary projects.


Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field.

Master’s degree or certifications in Project Management or Project Controls (e.g., PMP, AACE, or Primavera) are preferred.


Skills and Competencies

Proficiency in project control software (Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, etc.).

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex project environments.


Licenses and Certifications

Certifications in project management or project controls software (such as PMP or Primavera) are advantageous.

Additional certifications in risk management, scheduling, or cost control are also beneficial.
