Project Coordinator – Overview
Door and Glass Services Company is a specialty construction business focused on the installation of glass systems and framing components in commercial buildings. The Project Coordinator supports the successful delivery of projects by assisting with estimating, coordinating project activities, and ensuring work is executed efficiently from pre-construction through completion.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of construction estimating or project coordination experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience supporting or supervising construction projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and cloud-based software systems
Essential Functions
Project Estimating & Coordination (85%)
- Review blueprints and project documentation to assist in preparing time, cost, materials, and labor estimates using cloud-based estimating software
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to gather necessary information for accurate project proposals
- Support bidding efforts by helping prepare and submit estimates and proposals
- Assist in determining labor needs and scheduling field personnel for job sites
- Track project costs, budgets, and progress to ensure alignment with estimates
- Maintain relationships and records for suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
- Help manage the bid/tender process and support contract negotiations
- Ensure project plans comply with applicable building codes, including wind and energy requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other stakeholders to resolve project issues and maintain workflow
- Utilize project management and estimating software to support planning, scheduling, and execution
Project Monitoring & Performance (15%)
- Prepare and maintain cost reports, progress updates, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist in analyzing project performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency
- Support quality control processes and ensure adherence to company standards
- Evaluate construction methods and provide input on cost-effectiveness and project improvements
Compensation: $55,000 – $90,000 salary
Pay: $55,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
