Role description


Job Title: ServiceNow Scrum Master

Location: Tampa, FL

Role Summary

We are looking for a strong Scrum Master to drive Agile delivery for ServiceNow programs. This role will primarily own Scrum execution and team velocity, while also working closely with Lead BA and Technical Leads to ensure high-quality story definition, backlog readiness, and smooth sprint execution.

Key Responsibilities

Scrum Master (Primary Responsibility)

  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives
  • Ensure consistent sprint execution with clear goals, commitments, and outcomes
  • Track and improve team velocity, sprint predictability, and delivery efficiency
  • Identify and remove impediments/blockers to keep the team moving
  • Enforce Agile best practices while adapting to program needs (not textbook Agile, real-world Agile)
  • Maintain visibility into sprint progress, risks, and dependencies

Backlog & Story Management (Secondary Responsibility)

  • Work closely with Lead BA and Technical Leads to:
    • Refine and prioritize backlog
    • Ensure stories are well-defined, groomed, and ready for development
    • Validate acceptance criteria and dependencies
  • Ensure Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) are consistently followed
  • Support breakdown of epics into actionable user stories

Delivery Coordination

  • Align sprint execution with overall project timelines and milestones
  • Coordinate across multiple teams/workstreams (BA, Dev, QA, stakeholders)
  • Ensure smooth handoffs between design, development, and testing

Stakeholder Communication

  • Provide clear sprint-level updates on progress, risks, and dependencies
  • Support Project Manager / Program Manager with delivery insights
  • Ensure transparency across stakeholders without overloading them

Required Experience

  • 6–10+ years of experience in Agile delivery / Scrum Master roles
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in ServiceNow implementation programs
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Agile / Scrum framework
    • ServiceNow platform and delivery lifecycle
  • Experience working closely with Business Analysts and Technical Leads
  • Experience managing cross-functional Agile teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM / PSM or equivalent)
  • ServiceNow CSA
  • Experience with ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITAM, CMDB, etc.)
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow Agile module

Benefits

Compensation range: $100,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
