Project Coordinator (Arabic Speaking)

DRAWLINES ENGINEERING CONSULT is looking for Project Coordinator (Arabic Speaking) in Doha-Qatar

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute towards the development and implementation of a national Road Safety Strategy and Action Plan, ensuring alignment with the Ministry of Transport’s vision & international-best-practices.
• Mandatory Arabic-speaking expert with a strong background in transport planning, road safety, and capable of working with multi-disciplinary teams and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
• Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance and oversight on road safety process, speed studies, crash analysis, and system implementation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key government, industry, and community stakeholders to advance road safety objectives.
• Reporting & Compliance: Manage technical reporting and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and project requirements.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Training and Capacity Building Strategic thinking and policy development Stakeholder engagement and communication Leadership and team management Report on writing and presentation skills
• Mandatory Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Road Safety, Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in transport planning and road safety.
• Proven track record in contributing to national or regional road safety strategies and action plans.
• Certification by recognized professional bodies (e.g., CIHT, IHE, iRAP).
• Demonstrated experience in road safety audits, speed studies, crash data analysis, and Safe Systemapplication.
• Experience working with government ministries, public works authorities, and internationalconsultants.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (Arabic as mother tongue preferred).

Desirable requirements:

• Evidence of suitable professional qualification or equivalent is preferable
• Arabic language skills
• Experience of working in Qatar and / or the Gulf region
• University degree from a recognized University in an appropriate field
