Project Designer

A growing commercial construction/service company in Modesto, CA is looking for immediate hire, full-time PROJECT DESIGNER. The ideal candidate will be able to provide assistance in project design, project organization, coordinate with construction and development activities based on customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• AutoCAD drafting
• Architectural, Refrigeration, Electrical, Plumbing, Insulated Metal Panel, and Cooler/Freezer room design

• Schematic Design Concept Plans, Design Development Drawings, Coordination with Sales Division

• Implementing our firms standards into the design
• Coordination with architects, engineers, contractors, and other trades

• Traveling to jobsites, building departments, ETC. will sometimes be required

• Preparing clear and easy to understand plan check response letters

• Communication with Customers, Construction Project Managers, and other professionals for coordination

Requirements:

• At least 5-8 years of drafting experience

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret Construction Drawings

• Proficiency with AutoCAD

• Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical or Plumbing design experience preferred

• Understanding of Word, Excel, and Outlook is required

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to be meet tight schedules with little supervision
