Role Overview

The Project Developer acts as the bridge between design, engineering, and sales — developing project opportunities from concept through awarded contract. This person works with architects, designers, and general contractors to understand intent, define scope, and propose innovative technical and material solutions that align with Eventscape’s fabrication capabilities.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Development & Pre-Construction

  • Lead the front-end development of architectural feature projects from concept to signed contract.
  • Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and design intent.
  • Collaborate with design, estimating, and engineering teams to produce proposals and budgets.
  • Identify risks, technical challenges, and innovative fabrication opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed project proposals, technical narratives, and visual presentations.

2. Client & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients (architects, designers, GCs).
  • Attend design meetings to present ABIYA’s capabilities and solutions.
  • Support client decision-making through samples, mock-ups, and technical clarifications.
  • Maintain long-term client relationships to generate repeat business.

3. Estimation & Technical Input

  • Work with estimating to ensure proposals are technically and financially viable.
  • Translate creative concepts into buildable, cost-effective systems.
  • Provide input on materials, finishes, and structural systems.
  • Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes for integration into final proposals.

4. Internal Collaboration

  • Coordinate closely with design engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth project handover once awarded.
  • Participate in design-assist efforts, value engineering, and constructability reviews.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Industrial Design, or Construction Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in architectural fabrication, design-build, or facade/interior systems.
  • Strong technical understanding of materials (metal, glass, wood, composites, finishes).
  • Proficiency in reading architectural drawings and 3D models (AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit preferred).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Creative problem-solver with attention to detail and aesthetics.
  • Experience managing budgets and schedules at the proposal phase.
