Project Director - Water Treatment Plant

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead and oversee overseas water treatment projects, from early‑stage business development through engineering execution and final project acceptance. This senior leadership role requires a strong technical foundation and proven experience in industrial wastewater treatment and seawater desalination technologies, with direct accountability to the CEO for project delivery, performance, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end management of overseas projects, from business development and proposal stage through execution, commissioning, and final acceptance
• Act as the single point of accountability for project performance, timelines, cost control, and technical compliance
• Support business development activities, including technical input for tenders, project feasibility, risk assessment, and client engagement
• Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) activities for water treatment projects
• Ensure proper application of industrial wastewater treatment and seawater desalination technologies
• Provide expert oversight on systems involving chemicals, membranes, and filter elements
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, contractors, and international stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
• Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies across technical, commercial, and operational areas
• Ensure projects comply with contractual specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and present project status reports and strategic updates directly to the CEO

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or related technical discipline preferred)
• Extensive experience in industrial wastewater treatment and/or seawater desalination projects
• Strong professional background in:
• Water treatment chemicals
• Membranes (RO, UF, NF, etc.)
• Filter elements and related treatment technologies
• Proven track record managing international or overseas projects
• Experience covering both technical and commercial aspects of project delivery
• Strong leadership, decision‑making, and stakeholder management skills

Pay: QAR18,000.00 - QAR22,000.00 per hour
