Project Engineer

We are looking for a dedicated and technically strong Project Engineer to join our team in the Water and Wastewater Treatment sector. The candidate will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and executing projects — from design and procurement to installation, testing, and commissioning — ensuring that all works meet technical specifications, timelines, and client expectations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical work and site coordination, and who is ready to take ownership of project delivery in a dynamic SME environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Coordination:

• Support the Project Manager in the overall execution of water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Prepare project documentation such as method statements, work schedules, and progress reports.
• Coordinate between design, procurement, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Attend client and consultant meetings, record minutes, and follow up on action points.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems at site.

Technical & Design Support:

• Review design drawings, P&IDs, datasheets, and technical specifications.
• Assist in preparing BOQs, material take-offs, and equipment selection as per project requirements.
• Provide technical inputs during tendering, procurement, and project execution stages.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination:

• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for materials, fabrication, and services.
• Review and verify vendor documentation and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Follow up with procurement for timely material delivery and site readiness.

Quality, Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Implement HSE standards at site and ensure safety compliance by all personnel.
• Conduct inspections and assist in resolving technical or installation issues.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain project logs, site reports, and as-built documentation.
• Support the Project Manager in preparing handover documents and O&M manuals.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in water or wastewater treatment projects (design and/or execution).
• Knowledge of water treatment processes (RO, UF, softeners, clarifiers, etc.) and wastewater treatment (biological, chemical, and tertiary systems).
• Good understanding of piping systems, pumps, valves, and instrumentation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office; familiarity with MS Project or Primavera is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
