Project Engineer (High-Rise)

Role Summary

The Project Engineer is responsible for the technical coordination and administrative management of the project. You ensure that the engineering designs are translatable to the site and that all documentation, from Method Statements to NOCs (No Objection Certificates), is in place to allow construction to proceed without legal or technical delays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Submittals & RFIs: Manage the Request for Information (RFI) process and ensure all technical submittals (materials, shop drawings) are approved by consultants and authorities (Dubai Municipality/Civil Defense).
  • Method Statements: Prepare and review high-rise specific Method Statements (e.g., for jump-formwork, high-pressure concrete pumping, or curtain wall installation).
  • Procurement Support: Technical evaluation of bids from subcontractors and suppliers for specialized high-rise equipment like high-speed hoists or BMUs (Building Maintenance Units).
  • BIM Coordination: Work closely with the BIM team to resolve clashes in technical drawings before they reach the Site Engineer.
  • Planning Integration: Assist the Planning Manager in breaking down the master schedule into technical milestones.

Qualifications for Dubai

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: 5–8 years, with a focus on technical coordination for towers (G+Unlimited).
  • Authority Skills: Familiarity with Dubai Municipality (DM) online portals and Trakhees systems.
