Project Engineer, Joinery

Job Summary:
The Joinery Projects Engineer is responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of joinery and fit-out projects, from initial planning and design coordination through procurement, production, installation, and final handover. The role requires strong technical knowledge of joinery works, effective project management skills, and the ability to coordinate between clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple joinery and interior fit-out projects simultaneously across the UAE.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Coordinate with design, production, and site teams for smooth execution of works.
  • Plan project timelines, resources, and manpower requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and main contractors to ensure alignment and approvals.
  • Monitor project progress and address any delays or technical challenges proactively.
  • Oversee procurement of materials, ensuring cost control and timely availability.
  • Ensure all joinery works comply with approved drawings, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Supervise factory production processes and coordinate with workshop teams.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor installation and ensure workmanship standards.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including performance evaluation.
  • Prepare and submit project reports, progress updates, and variation claims.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance on-site and in production facilities.
  • Lead project handover, snagging, and close-out procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in joinery and interior fit-out projects in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and shop drawings.
  • Experience with project management tools and MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with UAE construction standards, authority approvals, and site practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
