Job Title: Project Engineer (Operation)
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all project operations — including drawings, procurement, scheduling, planning, approvals, subcontractor coordination, and reporting — to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
- Serve as the single point of accountability for operational planning and progress monitoring across all assigned projects.
- Coordinate with the design team to obtain approved drawings, IFC revisions, and method statements, ensuring that all site works follow the latest documentation.
- Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules in Wrike, aligning manpower, subcontractors, and materials with project timelines.
- Conduct project kick-off and weekly review meetings with the Site Execution Engineer to review completed vs. pending works, verify WIRs, confirm resource needs, and finalize look-ahead plans.
- Implement and control the Work Inspection Report (WIR) system — issue, inspect, and sign off on all pre- and post-WIRs; maintain WIR logs and ensure no work begins without prior approval.
- Review and verify the Daily Site Reports (DSRs) submitted by the Site Execution Engineer, checking manpower, photos, and progress accuracy before marking them as “Checked” in Wrike.
- Track and follow up on procurement schedules, supplier deliveries, and subcontractor mobilization to prevent delays or cost overruns.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure scopes are clearly defined, mobilization plans are met, and performance aligns with project expectations.
- Maintain complete project documentation — including BOQs, drawings, approvals, RFIs, NCRs, and WIR records — ensuring data accuracy and accessibility in Wrike.
- Prepare and submit Weekly Progress Reports (WPRs), highlighting achievements, risks, and corrective actions, and share them with the Project Manager and client.
- Identify project risks or potential delays early, document them using the Cause → Effect → Solution (CES) format, and propose proactive solutions.
- Control project budgets by maintaining procurement within BOQ limits, preventing rework or wastage, and negotiating best-value terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Uphold professional communication and collaboration among design, procurement, and execution teams to ensure seamless coordination.
- Lead and guide the Site Execution Engineer through clear task assignment, daily follow-up, and continuous performance verification.
- Maintain the Wrike dashboard as the single source of truth for all operational updates, progress tracking, and documentation.
- Demonstrate proactive leadership, technical precision, and accountability, ensuring that projects are executed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with quality and safety standards.
