Project Engineer - Switchgear

Koranga, Pakistan

Responsibilities:

  • Review project technical drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and costing sheets provided by the Estimation and Sales teams.
  • Conduct detailed handover meetings with the Estimation and Sales teams to ensure clear understanding of project scope and cost structure.
  • Collaborate with the Design team to ensure the project design aligns with the approved budget and scope.
  • Develop and submit the project schedule to the client in line with contractual timelines.
  • Review and validate design documents; coordinate with the client for approvals, submissions, and any necessary variations.
  • Ensure all client comments and feedback are properly incorporated into the project design by coordinating with the Design team.
  • Verify that all components issued for procurement align with approved designs and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to manage alternatives and design changes, ensuring all modifications are approved by the client.
  • Liaise with the Planning team to ensure accurate scheduling and effective project control measures.
  • Work closely with the Production team and external vendors to resolve any production-related issues affecting project delivery.
  • Coordinate with the client for scheduling and conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
  • Ensure that all client comments and observations during inspections are addressed and communicated effectively.
  • Manage project delivery logistics and ensure timely delivery in accordance with client expectations.
  • Support the client during installation and commissioning, and address any related issues or after-sales service requirements.
  • Follow up with clients for payments and ensure timely collection of receivables.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Lead the project team to meet defined milestones and ensure successful execution.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the switchgear industry, with a focus on project planning and execution.
  • Strong client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain professionalism under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs75,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
