Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and monitor all site civil and structural construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Review and interpret design and shop drawings to ensure technical accuracy, constructability, and consistency with project requirements.
- Oversee the execution of works such as excavation, foundation, concrete, masonry, finishing, and external works to maintain quality and progress.
- Coordinate daily site operations with subcontractors, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines to achieve seamless execution of works.
- Conduct inspections for formwork, reinforcement, concrete pouring, and finishing to verify compliance with quality control and testing standards.
- Ensure that all construction materials and workmanship conform to approved project specifications and industry codes.
- Monitor manpower deployment, equipment utilization, and work progress to meet planned targets and schedules.
- Liaise with consultants, project management, and client representatives for inspections, approvals, and technical clarifications.
- Prepare and submit daily site reports, progress updates, inspection requests, and site correspondence to the project management team.
- Support the preparation of method statements, material submittals, and work permits in line with project requirements.
- Identify site issues, technical discrepancies, or potential delays and propose effective corrective actions.
- Enforce strict adherence to project QA/QC and HSE standards, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
- Collaborate with the planning and quantity surveying teams for monitoring quantities, productivity, and material usage.
- Maintain proper documentation of site activities, materials, and inspections for project records and audits.
- Promote discipline, teamwork, and continuous improvement among site personnel and subcontractors.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 6–10 years of experience in site supervision and execution of civil and structural works (building or infrastructure projects preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge of concrete, rebar, formwork, finishing, and general construction practices.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and familiar with project management or scheduling software (Primavera P6 or MS Project).
- Good understanding of relevant international codes and standards (ACI, BS, ASTM, etc.).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, result-oriented attitude.
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, inspection protocols, and HSE compliance.
- Prior GCC experience and a valid driving license are advantageous.
