Position Summary

The Project Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects. This role analyzes project specifications, drawings, labor requirements, materials, and timelines to develop detailed proposals that support profitable and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Review plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate cost estimates

- Perform material take-offs and quantify labor requirements

- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing

- Prepare detailed proposals, bid packages, and scope summaries

- Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and leadership to ensure estimates align with company standards

- Track project costs and compare actual performance against estimates

- Maintain organized documentation of bids, revisions, and historical cost data

- Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks when required

- Identify value engineering opportunities to improve project competitiveness

Qualifications

- 2+ years of estimating experience (industry-specific experience preferred)

- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor pricing

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents

- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel required)

- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
