1. Purpose of the Position

The Project Implementation Coordinator will lead the implementation of D4WEE activities in three districts of KP, ensuring effective coordination with consortium partners, academia, private sector actors, and local institutions. The PM will oversee beneficiary mobilization, training delivery, job placement facilitation, and reporting to ensure that project outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and in line with donor requirements.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Project Management & Implementation

  • Lead day-to-day planning, execution, and monitoring of all D4WEE activities in Peshawar, Swabi, and Mardan.
  • Supervise outreach campaigns to identify and register beneficiaries (Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 women).
  • Ensure quality implementation of training programs in line with local needs and consortium partner strategies.
  • Monitor progress toward project targets (digital literacy, employability, job placements) and adapt plans as required.

B. Coordination & Partnership Management

  • Maintain close coordination with consortium partners (TiE and C4P) for aligned implementation.
  • Engage with universities, colleges, and community hubs for mobilization and training delivery.
  • Build partnerships with ICT companies, SMEs, and startups to secure internships, apprenticeships, and job placements.
  • Liaise with local government, women’s organizations, and academia to ensure local ownership and sustainability.

C. Monitoring, Learning & Reporting

  • Ensure data collection, beneficiary tracking, and documentation of project progress.
  • Prepare regular progress reports for AHKF Program Manager and UN Women.
  • Incorporate feedback loops and adaptive learning in programming, with attention to digital safety and inclusivity.
  • Contribute to gender-disaggregated evidence and best practices documentation.

D. Team Supervision & Capacity Development

  • Supervise district-level staff, trainers, and mobilizers.
  • Provide coaching and technical guidance to ensure effective field operations.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and accountability within the project team.

3. Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in development studies, Gender Studies, ICT for Development, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in project management, preferably with UN, INGOs, or women’s economic empowerment programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital skills programs, workforce placement, or private sector partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of gender equality, women’s empowerment, and digital inclusion in the Pakistani context.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-stakeholder projects in KP or similar socio-cultural contexts.
  • Excellent communication skills (English, Urdu, Pashto preferred).
  • Strong reporting, data management, and adaptive programming experience.

4. Competencies

5. Duty Station & Travel

  • Based in Peshawar, with frequent travel to Mardan and Swabi.
  • Travel to Islamabad (consortium coordination / donor meetings) may be required.

6. Reporting Line

  • Directly reports to the Program Manager, AHKF.
  • Works in close coordination with Consortium Focal Points and District Field Teams.
