Requirements for KOC Project Manager:

Execution of projects of similar nature to the Works (e.g., Substation Construction, Power Generation, or large-scale Oil & Gas EPC with a significant electrical scope).

Key Responsibility:

The Project Manager will serve as the Contractor’s Representative and hold overall responsibility for the successful, safe, and efficient execution of the entire scope of work, both at the Contractor’s main office and on the KOC project site.

Qualification and Approval:

KOC Approval Must have current or prior formal KOC Project Manager approval.

Education Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory).

Experience Minimum fifteen (15) years of management experience in the execution of projects of a similar nature to the Works.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership and Authority (Contractor’s Representative)•

Act as the officially designated Contractor’s Representative for all project matters.• Serve as the single point of contact for the Company (KOC) project team.•

Acknowledge and accept that all formal communication and instructions delivered by KOC to the Project Manager shall be deemed binding upon the Contractor.•

Ensure the Contractor’s team adheres strictly to the contract terms, scope of work, technical specifications, and KOC standards and procedures.•

Provide clear, decisive leadership to the project team, subcontractors, and vendors to drive performance.

Project Management and Execution•

Develop, maintain, and execute the Project Execution Plan (PEP), ensuring alignment with all project objectives (scope, schedule, budget, quality).•

Lead the electrical engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) phases, ensuring technical compliance for all electrical and associated scopes.•

Oversee project controls, including scheduling, progress measurement, cost control, and forecasting.•

Manage project risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.

Quality, HSE, and Compliance•

Champion a robust Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture on Site, ensuring strict compliance with KOC's HSEMS and all local regulations.•

Ensure all electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities comply with KOC quality standards and relevant international codes.•

Facilitate and secure timely approvals from KOC for all critical project deliverables, including engineering documents, materials, and construction method statements.

Stakeholder and Commercial Management•

Proactively manage the working relationship with KOC and all project stakeholders.• Oversee all commercial and contractual matters, including managing the budget, reviewing and processing payment applications, and handling change requests and claims in coordination with the commercial team.

Required Skills and Attributes•

Proven expertise in managing multi-disciplinary, large-scale Oil & Gas or heavy industrial projects, particularly those with a strong electrical component.•

In-depth knowledge of KOC's project lifecycle, Gate Process, and operational procedures.•

Exceptional organizational, negotiation, and communication skills (written and verbal).• Demonstrated ability to make high-stakes decisions and resolve complex technical and contractual issues under pressure.•

Relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, or equivalent) is highly desirable
