Responsibilities:
Project planning and execution
- Oversee all aspects of projects, including scope, schedule, quality, resources, and stakeholder communication.
- Transform high-level goals and requirements into actionable tasks and deliverables.
- Create and maintain detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) and release plans.
- Utilize critical path and rolling wave planning techniques to optimize task sequencing and timing.
Agile methodologies and development process
- Implement and facilitate Agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, and XP.
- Organize Agile ceremonies and continuously monitor adherence to Agile principles.
- Act as the Scrum/Kanban Master for the development team, removing any impediments to progress.
Team management and resource allocation
- Manage resource and tasks allocation effectively.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and facilitate team members' professional growth through Personal Development Plans (PDPs).
- Resolve team conflicts and minor issues to maintain a healthy, collaborative work environment.
Monitoring and reporting
- Continuously track key performance indicators, including team velocity and other productivity metrics.
- Adapt planning based on team feedback and performance metrics.
- Regularly communicate updates to stakeholders and manage their expectations.
Tools and workflows
- Leverage Jira for task execution, workflow customization, and enhanced project tracking.
- Coordinate high-quality maintenance efforts, ensuring project deliverables meet the company’s quality standards.
Qualifications:
Software development methodologies
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as an Assistant/ Project Manager in a software company dealing with multiple projects.
- In-depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Planning and estimation
- Proficient in project planning, scheduling, and scope management.
- Experience with Agile estimation techniques, specifically story points.
- Ability to create and interpret Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and release plans.
Tools and technical skills
- Proficiency in using Jira for project and team management.
- Ability to understand software requirements specifications, including epics, user stories, and Gherkin scenarios.
- Technical acumen sufficient to oversee the execution of team members' work duties.
Performance monitoring and metrics
- Solid understanding of key performance metrics like team velocity.
- Experience in adapting plans based on performance metrics and team feedback.
Communication and stakeholder management
- Advanced skills in communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
- Upper-Intermediate level of English or higher.
