Project Manager — Job Description
Role summary
Lead project planning and execution to deliver products, services, or programs on time, within scope and budget; coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage risks, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
Key responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria; create project charters and plans.
- Develop detailed schedules, resource plans, and budgets; track progress against milestones.
- Lead cross‑functional teams, assign tasks, and facilitate daily/weekly standups and sprint/planning ceremonies.
- Manage stakeholder communications: status reports, steering meetings, escalation paths, and change control.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues; maintain an issues log and implement contingency plans.
- Manage project scope changes through a formal change control process and update plans accordingly.
- Oversee procurement and vendor management for contracted work and third‑party services.
- Ensure quality through project QA activities, acceptance criteria, and sign‑offs.
- Facilitate requirements gathering, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment/rollout coordination.
- Maintain project documentation (plans, schedules, decisions, lessons learned) and post‑project reviews.
- Track project financials: budget vs actuals, forecast, and cost control measures.
- Drive continuous improvement and apply project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, hybrid).
- Mentor junior PMs and contribute to PMO standards and tool adoption (Jira, MS Project, Asana).
Required skills & experience
- 3–7 years project management experience (adjust by level).
- Proven experience delivering projects in relevant domain (IT, construction, product, marketing).
- Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication (written/presentations).
- Proficiency with PM tools (Jira, MS Project, Asana, Trello) and reporting (Gantt, RAID logs).
- Solid knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies; hands‑on Scrum Master experience is a plus.
- Financial acumen for budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
- Risk management and problem‑solving skills.
- Relevant certifications preferred: PMP, PRINCE2, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent.
Pay: QAR140.21 - QAR352.90 per hour
