Project Manager — Job Description

Role summary

Lead project planning and execution to deliver products, services, or programs on time, within scope and budget; coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage risks, and ensure stakeholder alignment.

Key responsibilities

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria; create project charters and plans.
  • Develop detailed schedules, resource plans, and budgets; track progress against milestones.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams, assign tasks, and facilitate daily/weekly standups and sprint/planning ceremonies.
  • Manage stakeholder communications: status reports, steering meetings, escalation paths, and change control.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues; maintain an issues log and implement contingency plans.
  • Manage project scope changes through a formal change control process and update plans accordingly.
  • Oversee procurement and vendor management for contracted work and third‑party services.
  • Ensure quality through project QA activities, acceptance criteria, and sign‑offs.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment/rollout coordination.
  • Maintain project documentation (plans, schedules, decisions, lessons learned) and post‑project reviews.
  • Track project financials: budget vs actuals, forecast, and cost control measures.
  • Drive continuous improvement and apply project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, hybrid).
  • Mentor junior PMs and contribute to PMO standards and tool adoption (Jira, MS Project, Asana).

Required skills & experience

  • 3–7 years project management experience (adjust by level).
  • Proven experience delivering projects in relevant domain (IT, construction, product, marketing).
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication (written/presentations).
  • Proficiency with PM tools (Jira, MS Project, Asana, Trello) and reporting (Gantt, RAID logs).
  • Solid knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies; hands‑on Scrum Master experience is a plus.
  • Financial acumen for budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
  • Risk management and problem‑solving skills.
  • Relevant certifications preferred: PMP, PRINCE2, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent.

Pay: QAR140.21 - QAR352.90 per hour
