Project Manager - Aviation & Marine

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Project Management or Marine Engineering will be an advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are preferred.

Any Technical Certification Required:

  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, and JIRA.
  • Strong communication & reporting skills.
  • Skilled in MS Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • PMP or Prince2 certification will be an added advantage.

Experience Required:

  • 3–5 years of experience in project management within marine, port, coastal, dredging, or offshore infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale marine or maritime infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with international marine construction standards and regulatory frameworks.

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of marine projects, including ports, jetties, dredging,

coastal infrastructure, and marine installations.

  • Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure alignment with project scope, technical specifications, and contractual

obligations.

  • Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and marine operations

teams.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory

authorities.

  • Manage communication with port authorities, maritime regulators, and environmental

agencies where required.

  • Ensure effective coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.

Contract & Commercial Management

  • Review and manage project contracts, change orders, and variation claims.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, deliverables, and performance milestones.
  • Support the commercial team in cost optimization and project profitability.

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Identify technical, operational, environmental, and regulatory risks associated with

marine projects.

  • Ensure adherence to marine safety regulations, environmental compliance, and

international maritime standards.

  • Implement HSE best practices across all marine operations.

Project Controls & Monitoring

  • Monitor project progress against the approved baseline schedule and budget, ensuring

alignment with project milestones and deliverables.

  • Coordinate with the Project Controls team to prepare periodic progress and cost

performance reports for management and stakeholders.

  • Implement and oversee Earned Value Management (EVM) practices to track project

performance, including analysis of Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Cost Performance

Index (CPI), and variance indicators.

  • Conduct schedule and cost variance analysis to identify deviations from planned targets and

recommend corrective actions.

  • Ensure accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and budget tracking, including monitoring of

commitments, expenditures, and projected final project costs.

  • Support the development of recovery plans and mitigation strategies in case of schedule delays or

budget overruns.

  • Maintain project dashboards and reporting tools to provide clear visibility of project performance,

risks, and key metrics to senior management.

  • Lead and supervise multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, planners, site teams, and

contractors.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and performance excellence.
  • Ensure efficient resource planning and team coordination.

Sales & Business Development (Marine Projects)

  • Support pre-sales and business development activities, including technical proposal

development, bid preparation, and client engagement for marine infrastructure projects.

  • Collaborate with commercial teams to define project scope, pricing strategies, and value

propositions aligned with client requirements.

  • Contribute to market analysis and identification of new opportunities within the marine and port

sector.

Warranty & Claims Management

  • Manage warranty-related issues and claims arising post-project completion, ensuring timely

resolution in accordance with contractual obligations.

  • Coordinate with engineering, vendors, and clients to investigate defects, identify root causes, and

implement corrective actions.

  • Maintain proper documentation and tracking of claims, liabilities, and warranty performance,

minimizing commercial and reputational risks.

  • Support negotiation and closure of claims and disputes in alignment with contractual provisions.
