Project Manager – Construction & Procurement

The Project Manager – Construction & Procurement will have primary responsibilities for planning and development of resources for projects, facilities material, and specific MRO needs, across all projects and properties within Elite Casino Resorts (ECR). The individual will develop key components and provide critical assistance with construction projects, capital projects, development of consistency strategies, assurance of task completion and adherence to ECR guidelines. They will support the entire ECR team in selected areas, leading negotiation of contracts, development of corporate partners supplying material and services. The Project Manager will assist in planning, design, loss control, safety, ensuring financial stewardship, following best practices and ECR values when established processes are unclear.


Essential Functions:

  • Provide exceptional guest service to all customers.
  • Represents ECR’s interests while achieving predetermined goals and objectives.
  • Instrumental in project coordination and management. Focusing on contract development, PO management and buyout of projects prior to commencement.
  • Develop requests for qualifications, Invitations to bid and requests for proposals, request for information, coordinate and manage project specific tasks across inclusive teams, develop collaborative relationships with external vendors, and internal partners to ensure expected outcomes.
  • Ensure ECR leadership is properly notified and understanding of obstacles, issues and opportunities as they arise, providing guidance as needed to ECR, and all concerned stake holders.
  • Development of budgets, schedules and project expectations. A key member of project the management group. Will be responsible for project progress, budgets, schedules and report on performance of defined metrics to confirm projects meet expectations of budget, safety, schedule, code compliance and ECR expectations.
  • Seek out and secure material sources and corporate partners to develop brand standards for products from floor covering to roofing materials, to ice melt or cleaning chemicals.
  • Look for avenues where we can purchase direct or remove retail costs and seek supplier pricing.
  • Provides and supports clear communication amongst all contractors, vendors and ECR team members. Provide guidance on practices as well as response to concerns throughout the project and operational standards.
  • Will ensure quality management, use of best practices and contract adherence.
  • Be a champion of safety ensuring the culture of projects and properties look to provide for the health of the team member and protection of assets both human and material.
  • Responsible for compliance with all required permits, inspections and interactions with insurers and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ’s).


Required:

  • Associates Degree and ten (10) plus years of experience with increasing responsibility to include, sales, project management, Team Leadership, team dynamics and proven collaborative approach in managing outcomes.
  • Understanding of the team approach to project management, ability to break project/ process down into specific assignments, clear communications of expectations, navigation of personalities and emotional debates is paramount in this role.
  • A working knowledge of facilities construction, operations and maintenance of building components or an in depth understanding of how complex parts, pieces and processes interact for a desired outcome.
  • Project management experience equaling ten (10) plus years leading processes, resource procurement, project scheduling, coordinating teams and individuals, schedule development and task assignment.
  • Willing to travel as required to provide proper oversite of projects, attend in person meetings, and promote team development.
