Project Manager / Delivery Lead

Role Summary:


At LIPS Healthcare, the Project Manager / Delivery Lead is responsible for driving the successful delivery of technology-enabled projects and business change initiatives, ensuring they meet scope, time, quality, and budget constraints.

This role blends structured project management with agile delivery leadership. It requires planning, organizing, and integrating cross-functional projects while enabling teams to self-organize, innovate, and deliver outcomes that bring measurable business and clinical value.

The role holder will champion both project governance and agile delivery principles, ensuring change initiatives are adopted effectively and embedded into operations.



Key Responsibilities


Project & Delivery Leadership

- Lead and oversee multiple projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

- Create and maintain project and delivery plans, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues.

- Monitor delivery status, provide assurance, and proactively resolve risks or blockers.

- Facilitate delivery ceremonies and workshops (both in-person and remote) to ensure collaboration and alignment.

- Ensure delivery teams practise collaboration, prioritisation, visibility, and continuous improvement.


Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

- Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.

- Align stakeholders around shared goals and facilitate transparent communication.

- Provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and benefits delivery.


Change Management & Adoption

- Support teams and stakeholders in integrating change management activities into project plans.

- Mobilize others to adopt and sustain change resulting from technology and operational projects.

- Ensure projects deliver measurable outcomes, not just outputs.


People & Team Leadership

- Motivate and guide cross-functional project teams throughout the project life cycle.

- Create a working environment where teams can self-manage, innovate, and take ownership of delivery.

- Promote collaboration across multiple teams, building awareness of interdependencies and wider business impacts.


Required Skills & Experience

- Proven experience in project management and delivery leadership, ideally in healthcare or similarly complex environments.

- Deep understanding of agile and lean principles, with ability to apply the right methodology in context.

- Strong background in risk management, planning, and stakeholder engagement.

- Excellent facilitation skills, both remote and in-person.

- Proven track record of delivering outcomes through multidisciplinary teams.

- Understanding of technology delivery, solution design, and integration.

- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders.


Education & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or equivalent experience.

- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and/or Agile certification (e.g., CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP) desirable.

Additional Delivery Lead Attributes

We are looking for a Project Manager / Delivery Lead with proven senior-level experience to help deliver products and solutions to meet business needs and enable teams to deliver better. All work should be carried out in a consultative, collaborative fashion – in keeping with LIPS Healthcare values.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with end-to-end delivery teams, enabling them to deliver technology and software solutions that achieve measurable business outcomes. They should have a deep understanding of agile and lean delivery principles, knowing how and when to implement them across different contexts using various methodologies.


Responsibilities (Delivery Lead Focus)

- Enable and facilitate teams to deliver solutions that achieve business outcomes.

- Provide delivery assurance by assessing delivery status and eliminating risks or blockers.

- Facilitate teams both physically and remotely, working with members across LIPS, partners, and suppliers.

- Work with a variety of stakeholders including Technical, Business, Research, and Product roles to align objectives.

- Create and maintain delivery plans with the wider team, tracking and reporting progress.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders.

- Deep understanding of agile and lean delivery principles, with the ability to advocate for them inside and outside the team.

- Excellent facilitation skills for team ceremonies and events, both remote and in-person.

- Ability to embed continuous improvement at all organizational levels.

- Capable of taking a stakeholder’s idea from inception through delivery and into operational use, including engagement with business change teams.
