Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all site operations, ensuring civil construction activities comply with approved drawings, schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
- Serve as the primary coordination hub among architects, structural and MEP engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Prepare and oversee comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project; identify risks of delay and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Control and monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and apply effective cost-control measures to maintain financial targets.
- Lead and motivate site teams, including engineers, supervisors, and workforce, to achieve productivity, safety, and project compliance.
- Perform regular site inspections to maintain quality standards and ensure immediate corrective action where required.
- Review, validate, and process variations, change orders, and claims with full supporting documentation and impact analysis.
- Conduct and chair weekly progress meetings, presenting stakeholders with accurate updates on schedule, risks, and cost performance.
- Maintain thorough project documentation such as daily logs, QA/QC records, safety reports, and material control registers.
- Enforce strict HSE compliance at all stages of construction and instill a strong safety culture across the workforce.
- Oversee procurement activities and logistics planning to ensure timely availability of all required materials, equipment, and resources.
- Resolve technical and operational challenges on-site promptly to ensure continuity of work and adherence to critical milestones.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in civil construction with recognized contracting organizations.
- Proven expertise in delivering high-rise, commercial, and mixed-use developments of large scale.
- Strong capability in project mobilization and leading large, multidisciplinary teams (300+ personnel).
- Comprehensive knowledge of civil construction methods, cost control, and contract administration.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Solid understanding of GCC construction standards, local authority regulations, and approval procedures.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is mandatory.
