Project Manager/Site Engineer/Estimator - Interior Design Studio-Fit Out Company

We are a full-service interior design and renovation studio delivering turnkey residential and commercial projects across the UAE. Our scope covers design development, authority coordination, procurement, site execution, and handover. We operate with a strong emphasis on quality, timelines, cost control, and client experience.

Role Summary

The Project Manager / Site Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end site execution of interior fit-out and renovation projects. This role bridges design intent and on-site delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role involves direct coordination with designers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution

• Estimation of new projects.
• Manage interior renovation and fit-out projects from site mobilization to final handover.
• Prepare and track project schedules, work programs, and daily/weekly progress reports.
• Ensure execution aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and design intent.
• Conduct regular site inspections and proactively resolve site issues.

Site Management

• Supervise daily site activities, labor, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure proper sequencing of works including civil, MEP, joinery, finishes, and FF&E installation.
• Coordinate material deliveries and ensure timely availability on site.
• Maintain site cleanliness, safety, and compliance with local regulations.

Quality Control

• Implement quality control procedures for all interior works.
• Inspect workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with approved samples and mock-ups.
• Identify defects and ensure timely rectification.

Cost Control & Procurement

• Assist in project costing, BOQs, and variation assessments.
• Track project expenses and prevent cost overruns.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for material and vendor selection.
• Review subcontractor quotations and invoices against work completed.

Authority & Compliance Coordination

• Coordinate with consultants and local authorities where required (e.g., building management, consultants, approvals).
• Ensure site works comply with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, and building management requirements (where applicable).

Client & Stakeholder Communication

• Act as the primary on-site point of contact for clients.
• Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and timelines.
• Attend site meetings with clients, designers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Manage client expectations and ensure a smooth execution experience.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate site records, drawings, RFIs, and as-built documentation.
• Prepare snag lists, handover documents, and completion reports.
• Support final inspections and project close-out.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of UAE experience in interior fit-out and renovation projects.
• Proven experience managing residential and/or commercial interior projects in Dubai.
• Strong understanding of interior construction methods, materials, and finishes.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (reading and mark-ups essential).
• Strong knowledge of MEP coordination for interiors.
• Familiarity with project management tools, MS Excel, and reporting formats.
• Knowledge of UAE construction standards and site practices.

Working Conditions

• Primarily site-based with travel across Dubai and other Emirates as required.
• Working hours as per project/site requirements.
