Property Management Bookkeeper

Overview
Join our dynamic property management team as a Property Management Bookkeeper, where your expertise will keep our financial operations running smoothly and accurately. In this vital role, you will manage the financial records of multiple properties, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting the overall success of our property portfolio. Your energetic approach to bookkeeping will help us maintain transparency, efficiency, and financial integrity across all accounts.

Duties

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for property portfolios using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
  • Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify account balances.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including budgets, income statements, and balance sheets in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Handle payroll processing and tax-related tasks with precision, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Assist with audit preparations and support internal controls related to property financial operations.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a Property Management Company / Strong knowledge of Management software platform such as Appfolio
  • Other languages spoken a HUGE plus ie Spanish
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within property management or real estate environments.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting standards, and non-profit accounting (if applicable).
  • Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and financial report writing.
  • Ability to perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis accurately.
  • Understanding of accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll management.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; proficiency in 10-key typing is a plus.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
