Proposal Engineer (EPC Projects)

Proposal and Estimation:

• Prepare detailed scopes of work, summarizing BOQs and project deliverables.
• Determine proposal feasibility by evaluating customer RFQs and project requirements.
• Handle complex proposals with a focus on risk assessment, cash flow analysis, responsibility matrix, and project scheduling.
• Develop cost-optimized solutions for power distribution systems and solar energy projects.
• Create and review technical proposals based on ITB documents, specifications, and drawings.
• Collaborate with the Project Controls Department to ensure earned value reporting and risk analysis.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and incorporate findings into technical proposals.
• Engage in customer discussions to understand business goals, challenges, and technical requirements.
• Provide technical support to Sales and Marketing teams for client presentations and queries.

Bidding and Budgeting:

• Monitor project budgets and prepare project cost estimations.
• Track and forecast project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables.
• Review and finalize bid packages, incorporating technical, commercial, and compliance aspects.
• Prepare and manage WBS, resource loading plans, and project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with tender specifications and manage bid submission timelines.

Skills and Expertise:

• Expertise in engineering services proposals for Power Distribution, Solar Projects, and Turnkey Solutions.
• Strong knowledge of project estimation, invoicing, and budget management.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6, MS Project.
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and client handling skills.
• Proficient in developing technical presentations and conducting client meetings.
• Ability to monitor project scheduling, resource deployment, and material procurement.

Education and Experience:

• Degree: BE in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role, with demonstrated expertise in proposal development, bidding, and project estimation for large-scale engineering projects.
• Experience in managing Power Distribution Systems and Solar Energy solutions is preferred.
