Job Title: Proposal Engineer – Waste Water Treatment

Location: Sharjah, UAE

Job Purpose:

The Proposal Engineer – Waste Water Treatment will be responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals for wastewater treatment projects, ensuring accurate, competitive, and client-focused solutions. The role involves coordination with engineering, procurement, sales, and project teams to develop compliant and cost-effective proposals aligned with project specifications and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Proposal Preparation

• Prepare detailed technical proposals for wastewater treatment and water treatment projects.
• Review tender documents, RFQs, technical specifications, and client requirements.
• Develop process designs, system layouts, equipment selection, and technical compliance documents.
• Coordinate with engineering and design teams for technical clarifications and proposal inputs.
• Ensure all proposals comply with industry standards, environmental regulations, and project requirements.

Commercial & Cost Estimation

• Prepare project cost estimations, BOQs, pricing structures, and commercial proposals.
• Coordinate with procurement and vendors for quotations and technical comparisons.
• Support preparation of commercial terms, tender submissions, and bid documentation.
• Assist in evaluating project risks and proposing cost-effective engineering solutions.

Tendering & Client Coordination

• Participate in tender clarification meetings and respond to technical queries from clients.
• Support contract negotiations and post-award documentation activities.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure timely submission of proposals within deadlines.

Documentation & Process Improvement

• Maintain a database of standard proposal templates, technical documents, and previous submissions.
• Prepare technical presentations and support business development initiatives.
• Stay updated on the latest wastewater treatment technologies, equipment, and UAE environmental regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in wastewater treatment proposal engineering, tendering, or process engineering.
• Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, equipment selection, and treatment technologies.
• Experience in project cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and tendering procedures.
• Familiarity with UAE environmental regulations and industry standards is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and proposal preparation tools.
• Strong communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
