What awaits you in this role?


• Prototype Vehicle Build Team Member is a specialist, responsible from operating equipments & facilities as well as coordination of human resource in order to support E&TD prototype build throughout projects' related gateways.

• Responsibility covers technical lead of the build operations, including relations with 3rd party service providers, planning and management of the resources, such as periodic maintenance, calibration, investment/launch works etc.

• Basic KPI's are the delivery of the outputs (proto units, F4T supports) within : - project timelime, - forecasted budget and - operational quality.

• This divergent role includes with many aspects of learn & apply cycles, for component to system level testing of propulsion systems (i.e battery driven or ICE) & vehicles. Prototype & F4T requires deep vehicle / systems knowledge and assembly & diagnostics experience."

• Provides support for the preparation of workshops, implementation of engine/vehicle builds, sign-offs.

• Provides support in the selection of appropriate manufacturing techniques. Develops and applies new methods when neccessary.

• Identifies expertise, technical gaps and implements solutions to fulfill a variety of program needs (i.e Electric, Connected-Autonomous vehicles)

• Leads the requirements for sufficient prototype security on vehicles by planning security guidelines of prototype vehicles, designing & procuring camouflage materials to be applied on test vehicles (Unique to PPE)"

• Responsible of execution of DVPs and proto build phases as stated in the related documentation (i.e CETPS, Proto Health Charts, Assy instructions etc.)

• Works with the team of technicians (hourly paid) and drivers to carry out all aspects of prototype builds.

• Gives technical direction and guidance to the staff in the operation (i.e preparation of fixtures, vehicles/components assembly, dynamic evaluations of the proto units), provide feedback, and develop technicians, helping them to improve operational efficiency & solving (control, assy, instrumentation etc.) problems.

• Ensures that whole workstream under his/her responsibility is done in accordance with ISO 9000, ISO 14001 and Safety rules. Understands how the quality and environmental policies affects the function, implement these policies and maintain records.

• Coordinates budget preparation and sustainability of labs. & equipments' periodical maintenance, calibrations or repairs when needed. Ensures that all labs. & equipments used adhere to the related calibration standart (i.e advanced measurement & control devices to be inside the latest emission requlation limits)

• Manages 3rd party service options (create technical specifications, market research, cost & timing analysis, site visits etc) in order to support prototype requirements.

• Investigates new design verification & prototype manufacturing trends/opportunities/infrastructures/technologies/regulations etc., and prepares technical requirements, investment feasibility. Manages project coordination"


What are we looking for in this position?


• Experience in delivery of program protype and test phases (TPV -> TDC / DCV -> PEC-FEC)

• Track record in facility management experience (H&S, periodic maintenance, investment & expenses etc.)

• Experience with resource planning and allocation within and across organizations

• Experience of GPDS processes and at least one program experience

• Preferably +2 years experience on a similar role in product development, design verification or quality environment"

• BSc Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering
