Role Description

This is a full-time, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner role. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, ongoing medication management, and supportive psychotherapy for adults, while maintaining thorough and timely documentation in the electronic health record. Daily responsibilities include assessing mental and physical health status, developing and adjusting treatment plans, monitoring treatment response and side effects, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals as needed. The role also involves delivering trauma-informed, culturally responsive care, engaging clients in collaborative goal setting, and providing education on diagnoses, medications, and wellness strategies. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will participate in quality improvement efforts, maintain regulatory and ethical standards, and contribute to a supportive, team-oriented clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Mental Health Nursing and Nursing skills, including assessment, diagnostic formulation, and therapeutic communication.
• Demonstrated expertise as a Nurse Practitioner, with experience in advanced practice nursing and collaborative, team-based care.
• Proficiency in Mental Health Care, including comprehensive treatment planning, crisis management.
• Specialized Psychiatric Care skills, including psychopharmacology, risk assessment, and evidence-based interventions.
• Current, unrestricted Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification and eligibility for licensure in Oregon.
• Experience or strong interest in holistic, person-centered care that integrates mental and physical health considerations.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members, both verbally and in writing.
• Comfort with electronic health records, clinical documentation, and basic technology used in behavioral health settings.
• Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and continuous professional development.
• Prior experience in outpatient psychiatry, integrated care, or telepsychiatry is preferred but not required.

We’re seeking Nurse Practitioners that are:

• Oregon licensed with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification
• Active DEA
• Experienced in working with adults, children & adolescents, or across the lifespan
• Experienced in both medication management and psychotherapy
• Must reside within commutable distance of local clinic(s) or be willing to attend in office appointments as required by state and federal regulations for compliance.
