Qualification & Experience:
Essential:
- M.Phil/ MS in Clinical Psychology from an HEC recognized University with 02 years of experience in counseling,research, psychological testing,delivering lectures, arranging workshops & training programs.
Desirable:
- M.Phil/ PhD in Psychology from an HEC recognized University with 04 years of experience in counseling, research,psychological testing,delivering lectures, arranging workshops & training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all NUST policies, rules and regulations.
- Ensure that NUST’s interests in the execution of the Centre’s operations are safeguarded at all times.
- Be responsible for the smooth operation of the Centre.
- Provide opportunities for team-building and capacity building activities.
- Facilitate, support and collaborate with the General Manager in the smooth and efficient functioning of the Directorate.
- Individual counselling of students/faculty/adm/technical staff of NUST for their personal/professional issues.
- Initiate, plan and organize Group Counselling Programmes.
- Initiate, plan and organize psychological health activities in line with NUST students’ requirements through technical input in seminars/lectures/orientations.
- Publication of articles/ brochures and leaflets as an aid to counselling and uploading the same on CMS and C3A website at the Centre.
- Evaluate effectiveness/impact of seminars/lectures by taking feedback.
- Ensure timely updation and maintenance of C3A website/ Qalam/ Social Media Platform.
- Provide resources and advice to the Human Resource Department in the selection of officers and NG staff by being a member of interview panel.
- Provide resources and advice to the Professional Development Centre (PDC) in the formulation of various capacity/capability building programs and for training of officers and NG Staff.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Should be proficient in:-
- Counseling Skills for adolescents
- Emotional stability & objective assessments
- Computer Skills (MS Office & Internet)
- Ability to think and plan ahead And contribute to the Centre’s operational/ academic strategy.
- Ability to differentiate between day to day operational needs and long term university strategic goals.
- Physically fit to perform the duties pertaining to the position
Training/Certification:
- Certificate courses in the field of Psychology & Counselling
Terms and Conditions:-
- Candidates are required to attach scanned copies of their documents (Academics / Professional).
- Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.
Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Late / incomplete applications will be ignored.
- Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
- NUST reserves the right to cancel, modify / terminate the recruitment program due to any reason, without notice, at any time.
