Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop communications plan including strategy, goals, budget, and tactics
  • Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media
  • Develop and maintain the company's image and identity, which includes the use of logos and signage
  • Coordinate all public relations activities
  • Direct social media team to engage audiences across traditional and new media
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests
  • Create content for press releases, by line articles and keynote presentations
  • Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis
  • Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an on-going basis.
  • Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
  • Maximize brand presence on various channels (e.g., web, TV, and social media)
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media and influential professionals
  • Set objectives for the PR team and monitor team members’ performance
  • Manage special events, such as sponsorship of races, parties introducing new products, or other activities the firm supports, to gain public attention through the media without advertising directly.
  • Arrange interviews and press releases to promote our company and its products/services
  • Ensure brand consistency in all advertising efforts
  • Organize PR events to increase awareness of our company
  • Assign tasks and projects to the PR team
  • Track and influence media coverage
  • Report on PR campaigns’ results
  • Manage sensitive issues to maintain company’s good reputation
  • Assist in implementing the government relations strategy approved by senior management, in alignment with the company's overall objectives.
  • Contribute to building effective and sustainable relationships with government entities, regulatory authorities, and relevant legislative institutions.
  • Monitor updates in laws and government regulations that may impact the company's operations and prepare analytical reports accordingly.
  • Prepare and organize all required files and documentation to obtain licenses and official approvals for the company's projects.
  • Represent the company, when required, in official meetings or field visits with government authorities.
  • Support corporate communication and community engagement initiatives that strengthen the company's relationship with official bodies.
  • Draft official correspondence and periodic reports addressed to government entities or for internal use within the Government Relations Department.
  • Supervise and continuously update the government relations database to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Certificates :

  • BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related discipline

Experience and Knowledge:

  • 10:12 years of experience in the same roles
  • Proven working experience in public relations required
  • Proven working experience in Government relations required
  • Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level
  • Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
  • Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews
  • Event planning experience
  • Solid understanding of Egyptian laws and regulations related to investment, maritime transport, and international trade.
  • Proven experience in direct coordination with ministries and government authorities such as the Ministry of Transport, the Suez Canal Economic Zone, and the Customs Authority.
  • Strong communication skills with high accuracy in preparing official reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner reflects its corporate values.
